Labial Puff Treatment

Treatment to enhance the appearance of the outer labia, sometimes referred to as the non-surgical labiaplasty

Labial puff treatment with hyaluronic acid involves the use of injectable hyaluronic acid fillers to enhance the appearance or volume of the labia majora (outer lips) of the vulva. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in the body that helps to maintain moisture and plumpness in the skin.

Labial Puff Treatment: The Procedure

During the procedure, our Urologist or Gynaecologist injects hyaluronic acid filler into specific areas of the labia majora to add volume, improve contours, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles or sagging. The injections are typically administered using a fine needle or cannula for precision and to minimize discomfort.

As the procedure is performed under local anaesthetic, topical numbing cream is usually applied 0 to 30 minutes before the procedure.

Prior to the procedure starting, the area is first cleansed with an antiseptic solution.

Labial Puff Treatment: The Recovery

After the filler is injected, the treated is gently massaged o ensure that the filler is evenly distributed and to smooth out any lumps or irregularities. If any additional filler is required, this can be added at this time.

Following the procedure, you'll be given instructions for post-treatment care, which may include avoiding strenuous activities, refraining from sexual intercourse for a certain period, and applying ice packs to reduce swelling. It's essential to follow these instructions to optimize your results and minimize the risk of complications.

It's important to avoid touching or rubbing the treated area immediately after the procedure to prevent displacement of the filler and minimize the risk of infection.

It's recommended to avoid strenuous activities, including vigorous exercise, for at least 24 to 48 hours after treatment to minimize swelling and allow the filler to settle properly.

Refrain from sexual intercourse or any activities that may put pressure on the treated area for a certain period, as advised by your healthcare provider. This allows the filler to settle and reduces the risk of complications.

Maintain good hygiene by keeping the treated area clean and dry. Avoid using harsh soaps, scented products, or excessive cleansing, as these can irritate the skin.

Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, which can help promote healing and minimize swelling.

Applying ice packs or cold compresses to the treated area can help reduce swelling and discomfort. Be sure to wrap the ice pack in a cloth to protect your skin and avoid applying it directly to the skin.

Labial puff treatment with hyaluronic acid fillers is generally well-tolerated and requires minimal downtime. The results are immediate and can last anywhere from several months to over a year, depending on factors such as the type of filler used and individual metabolism.
