Most providers have stopped using Collagen stimulating injections for penis enlargement, but one or two still do. Here is why you should not use these products to enlarge your penis
In the pursuit of a larger penis, individuals often explore various methods, including cosmetic procedures. Ellanse, a type of dermal filler, has gained attention for its potential use in penis enlargement. However, like any medical intervention, using Ellanse for this purpose comes with inherent risks and dangers that individuals should thoroughly understand before undergoing treatment.
Understanding Ellanse
Ellanse is a type of injectable filler that contains polycaprolactone (PCL), a biocompatible substance. It is designed to stimulate collagen production in the skin, providing a temporary lift or volumizing effect. In the context of penis enlargement, Ellanse injections aim to increase the girth of the penis by injecting the filler into the shaft. Almost a decade ago now, Moorgate Andrology offered Ellanse as an alternative to hyaluronaic acid injections. Patents were looking for longer lasting alternatives and Ellanse was clearly an option. However , our Urologists became concerned about the potential for untreatable lump formations with Ellanse and took the decision to stop using Ellanse an option for penis enlargement. We have not offered this product now for several years. We have since seen at least three patients self-referred to Moorgate Andrology for surgical intervention to remove untreatable lump formations from treatments performed at other centres still offering Ellanse for penis enlargement.
It must be said that other clinics in the UK and abroad may have different experiences with PCL injections, but the complications and side effects of PCL injections are well known.
Always we are looking for results that last in penis enlargement. In recent years we have seen the development of longer lasting hyaluronic acid injections with patients now returning up to two years after these treatments. With such improved longevity the potential risks of PCL injections and decision to choose this option are questionable. Those seeking long lasting results will generally choose a fat transfer, which remains the most popular option, not least because most men who seek to enlarge their oenis also want to increase their penis length at the same time.
At the end of the day, patients need to make their own informed choice. In this article we explore more the option of choosing PCL injections such as Ellanse for penis enlargement
Risks and Dangers
While Ellanse injections for penis enlargement may offer temporary results, there are several risks and dangers associated with this procedure:
- Infection:
Any procedure involving injections carries a risk of infection. The genital area is particularly sensitive, and infections can be challenging to treat. In severe cases, infections can lead to tissue damage or systemic illness.
- Allergic Reactions:
Some individuals may have allergic reactions to the components of Ellanse, particularly to the PCL filler. Allergic reactions can range from mild irritation to severe swelling, redness, and difficulty breathing. Immediate medical attention is necessary if an allergic reaction occurs.
- Nodule Formation:
Ellanse injections can sometimes lead to the formation of nodules or lumps under the skin. These can be unsightly and may require additional treatments to correct. They can be difficult to treat in the penis and some may require surgery to remove them. Surgery involves rolling down the skin of the penis and cutting out the lumps
- Migration of Filler:
There is a risk that the Ellanse filler can migrate from the injection site, leading to uneven results or lumps in unintended areas of the penis. This can affect the appearance and feel of the penis. Whilst this can happen with all forms of penis girth enhancement, with PCL injections such as Ellanse they can be difficult to treat in the penis.
- Fibrosis and Scarring:
Excessive or improperly administered Ellanse injections can cause fibrosis, which is the formation of scar tissue in the penis. This can result in a lumpy or hardened appearance and may interfere with normal erectile function.
- Pain and Discomfort:
Some individuals experience persistent pain, discomfort, or sensitivity in the penis after Ellanse injections. This can affect daily activities and quality of life.
- Nerve Damage:
The penis is a highly sensitive organ with numerous nerve endings. Ellanse injections carry the risk of damaging these nerves, leading to decreased sensation, numbness, or changes in sexual function.
- Vascular Complications:
Injecting Ellanse into the penis poses a risk of vascular complications. If the filler material enters a blood vessel, it can block blood flow, leading to tissue death (necrosis) and permanent damage.
- Psychological Impact:
Unsatisfactory results or complications from Ellanse injections can have a significant psychological impact. Individuals may experience anxiety, depression, or a decrease in self-esteem if the desired outcomes are not achieved.
Conclusion
While Ellanse injections for penis enlargement may seem like a convenient and non-surgical option, it is crucial to weigh the potential risks against the benefits. Before undergoing this procedure, individuals should thoroughly research the potential dangers
Ultimately, the decision to undergo Ellanse injections for penis enlargement should be made carefully, with a focus on safety. Other methods to increase penis girth, such as hyaluronic acid injections or fat transfer should be considered in the decision-making process.
Moorgate Andrology only offers the latter options to increase penis size. The focus is on patient safety at all times and understanding not only the potential results of treatments to increase penis size, but also the potential for complications and treating them when they occur. It is for this reason that we do not offer or recommend pcl injections, such as Ellanse, for penis enlargement.
